If I need a reason to love you.
What should it be?
Should it be the way you look?
Or the way you laugh when I say something funny.
Is it the reason necessary?
Should it be the way you hold doors open for me,
Or the way you whisper lyrics to my favourite song,
In my ear, when I’m about to sleep.
Is the reason there?
And how would I know what the reason must be?
If I needed a reason.
A reason to love.
Then why couldn’t the reason,
Be you?

Caught in misery.

I smile at you,
in a hope for comfort.
We kiss,
goodbye.
You turn around,
away from me.
You’re walking,
farther away.
You run,
while I stand here.
You’re free,
and I’m caught in my misery.

Found

I long to be found.
But I don’t feel lost.
How would I know?
I don’t experience any loss.
Yet, I long to be found.
To be taken away from this place.
But does that mean I’m lost?
Does that mean I can’t find my way?
I do not have the knowledge of that.
So can somebody please tell me.
Isn’t being lost,
the whole point of being found?

Consumed by the darkness.
Swallowed by my fear.
I glanced to my right, and then to my left.
Looking for incoming danger.
A look over the shoulder,
nothing but darkness.
I balled my fists, clutching in my sides.
A deep sigh and I’m off.
Running trough the darkness
I could see nobody.
But who could see me?
I had reached my goal.
Under a streetlight, lighting up just a piece of the pavement.
I panted.
I glance to my right, and then to my left.
A look over the shoulder.
I looked ahead as I sighed.
‘’It’s just darkness. Nothing to fear.’’ I calmed myself.
I sett off for the next street light.
I never arrived.
