Cassidy pouted like a child being scolded as Kuroku pulled her close and grimaced at the feeling of the knife poking around inside her. However, she broke into a grin as she inhaled his delicious tantalizing scent. “Well, if you insist…” She shrugged before she plunged her fangs into his neck. She wrapped her arms around him, clutching at his shirt, preparing herself for the knife to be pulled out. While she fed, she let her mind wander and hoped that any more humans didn’t notice them.

Kuroku pulled the knife out with a jerk and threw it to the ground. He gently pried her off of his neck and closed the wounds on both them with a gently blast of power. He looked at her and smiled. He didn't say anything. He opened his mouth and music flowed out. It was a slow soft beautiful song. It brought light and life to the desolate city. Still not saying anything he pulled her into his arms and took off at a run still singing. He stopped singing as they reached the cities edge and put her down and walked up to the top of a out cropping of rock and sat down and looked out over the city and smiled.

Cassidy sat beside Kuroku listening to the music with her head resting against his shoulder. The city before them was slowly coming to life, the ghost of an image of how she remembered cities use to look like. She sighed heavily, tears beginning to well in her eyes, his song still ringing in her ears. She closed her eyes though it didn’t stop the tears from falling down her cheeks. Her unbeating heart ached for some reason she couldn’t quite understand, it was something about the earlier music that bothered her, but she couldn’t remember why.

He sat there silently and looked over the city with a more violent look. He didn't know why he was felling so angry but to him it seemed as though evil were flowing from the city and trying to pull him in like a fell tide. There was something about these people that reminded his of something he had seen once or twice in the old world. He shook his head the thing he was thinking of was a heavy accusation to make without proof. He turned to Cassidy and watched the tears fall silently down her face and lay his forehead on hers and closed his eyes, "I miss them to..."

Cassidy let out a shaky breath, holding in a sob. She hastily wiped away her fallen tears, though all she accomplished was smearing the streaks across her face. Finally silent, her hands sought out his and she intertwined their fingers. She wanted to be close to someone, to spill out the contents of her heart, to give herself away. “I don’t want to talk about before, and I’m not going to spend my time wishing for something lost to return.” She opened her eyes slowly and looked into his face. “Can we just focus on the here and now?” she pleaded with her soft voice.

"Very well..." That was all he said and then he turned her head towards his and kissed her almost violently trying to forget everything. Memories crashed down on him like waves and threatened to pull him under and he almost succumbed to them and he used Cassidy as a anchor to hold him down to reality... to the present. He put all off his emotions into the kiss.

Cassidy whimpered when she felt the full force of his painful memories shared through the kiss. She circled her arms around his neck, curling her fingers in his hair to bring him closer. And suddenly, she was aware of every emotion she was holding back, some she hadn’t even realized she was feeling. Her unbeating heart ached and throbbed in her chest from the tender things she was feeling. She felt as if she would shatter from the sheer force of everything released. It was hard to believe that what she’d held inside could hurt so much when she accepted it, though there was relief in doing so. Not to mention, it felt good to finally express all her inner feelings with someone she cared about and such an intimate manner.

Kuroku pulled away and shook his head and sighed a inch from her face. "Not here love... let us find ourselves a place to stay."

Cassidy pouted, a look of sadness flashing in her eyes. “Must you always ruin my fun?” she snapped bitterly. She knew it was silly but couldn’t help but feel rejected. She couldn’t stand to be rejected by him, never him. He was all she had, and all she wanted. She sighed, knowing that fighting would only push them away. “You’re right, I’m sorry. Let us leave. Shall we stay down here or go up top?”

"We need to find a place in here that we can stay." He trailed his fingers up her side and pulled her closer to him resting his forehead on hers, "When we do we can continue on with what we left off here." He smiled a smile that promised many things. "Come let us go the sooner the better. We don't want to be found."
